The International Criminal Court announced that it had rejected the petitions filed by Israel – and issued the arrest warrants against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the previous Defense Minister Yoav Galant (who has been fired by now) . In addition, the court issued an arrest warrant against Muhammad Deif, who had already been eliminated, because Hamas did not admit of his assassination.
The statement said Netanyahu and Galant “are criminally responsible for these crimes, and as perpetrators share the common acts with others – a war crime of hunger as a method of warfare; and crimes against humanity of murder, persecution and other inhuman acts.”
“Netanyahu and Galant each carry criminal responsibility as civilian superiors for the war crime of directing a deliberate attack against the civilian population,” the letter said.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) announced today that it has decided to reject the petitions filed by Israel against the arrest warrants against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant and ordered their execution. The court also ordered an arrest warrant to be issued against Muhammad Deif, who had already been killed by Israel.
Israel condemns the ICC’s dramatic move at all ends of the political spectrum.
Lapid hastened to condemn the decision of the court in The Hague in a tweet published in the afternoon:
I Condemn the decision of the ICC in The Hague, Israel protects itself against terrorist organizations that attacked, murdered and raped our citizens, and these arrest warrants are a reward for terrorism

The chairman of the Mamlachti camp Benny Gantz also expressed his shock at the decision, calling it “moral blindness and historic disgrace that will never be forgotten.”
