The IDF Spokesperson informed the public today that 91st Division forces are deployed in southern Lebanon as part of the efforts to protect the northern communities and maintain the conditions of the ceasefire. “The fighters are working to locate and destroy threats, while eliminating armed terrorists and removing infrastructures that endanger the security of the residents in the area,” the statement said.

Destroying an underground tunnel

The statement said that the IDF destroyed an underground tunnel designed to lead terrorists to a position from which to fire at Israel. “The forces of the 188th Brigade exposed and destroyed an underground infrastructure that was tens of meters long, with an exit point for a firing position aimed at communities in Israeli territory,” it said. “During the operation, many weapons, including mortars and rockets, were located there. The engineering forces of the brigade destroyed the underground infrastructure.”

IDF Spokesperson in Arabic: Those who cross south of the line will be hurt

In the background of the reports of attempts to rehabilitate the terrorist organization’s military capabilities, the IDF Spokesman in Arabic, Colonel Avichai Adrei, tweeted on the X. In his statement aimed at Lebanese residents of the south, Adrei mentioned that they were forbidden to move south, in accordance with the ceasefire agreement between Israel and the State of Lebanon.

“The IDF does not intend to harm you,” the IDF Spokesman in Arabic stressed, “so at this stage it is forbidden to return to your homes south of this line until further notice.” Alongside this, Adrei added: “Anyone who moves south from this line will put himself in danger.”

Violation enforcement in southern Lebanon

Regarding enforcing the cease-fire agreement against Hezbollah violations, the IDF Spokesperson said that in the past week, the forces killed several armed terrorists in south Lebanon, who were found there in violation of the ceasefire conditions. “The 769th Brigade continues its extensive activity in southern Lebanon and in defense of the Galilee finger communities. Last week, the fighters located additional weapons and killed several armed terrorists who posed a threat to IDF forces,” the statement said.
