The Air Force carried out an exact attack in the southern Gaza Strip, in front of a Terror structure disguised as a civilian site; in the successful attack, many terrorists were killed.
On Monday night, the IAF carried out a complex attack in western Khan Yunis against a large group of Hamas terrorists. The attack was carried out in the humanitarian zone defined by the IDF for evacuees from the Gaza Strip, which now has some 1.5 million refugees. Due to this, special guidance and precise were needed in order to avoid harming the uninvolved and to eliminate only discriminated terrorists.
According to IDF reports, the attack was successful after good intelligence cooperation between the Military Intelligence Directorate and the Shin Bet. At least 10 terrorists were killed in the attack, including a number of senior Hamas figures (according to preliminary reports, three in the rank of brigade commander, including two senior intelligence officials), and those who targeted IDF forces in the recent war and in general in recent years. According to the IDF, the site that was attacked was a command and control structure, disguised in the humanitarian area as a normal house in the refugee camp. According to the IDF Spokesperson, “This is another example of the systematic use of the terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip by the population and civilian infrastructure, including the humanitarian sphere, to carry out terrorist acts against the State of Israel and the IDF.”
On the other side, the Palestinians reported a fatal attack that killed dozens of innocent people, and the attack was initially presented in some of the world’s media. However, the speed with which the IDF announced that it had indeed attacked the humanitarian zone in a deliberate and accurate manner, actually raised the credibility of the IDF reports at the expense of the reports of the Gaza Ministry of Health (which are of course controlled by Hamas), and led to a quick lull in the international mix.
In addition, the IDF carried out a series of attacks in the abandoned villages of south Lebanon, after a day of multiple Hezbollah launches, including a drone that hit a residential building in Nahariya, and dozens of rockets aimed at military settlements. The extent of the damage by the IDF attacks is not yet known.
