About 250 network influencers from the USA gathered at the conference to “hear the real voice” for Israel and for the fight against anti-Semitism. The conference opened under the leadership of the Israeli Consulate in New York, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the movement to fight against anti-Semitism.
Among the many influencers, there are familiar names such as Matisyahu, who already appeared in the huge demonstration in front of the White House at the beginning of the war, which was a support rally for Israel. The singer appeared with the song “One Day” which talks about better days. In addition, there are stand-up comedians, podcast owners, actors, and more on the list.
David Saranga, who leads the project on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: “In the world of social networks, a message coming from a private person is seen as more reliable, compared to a message from an official spokesperson or government.” Sargana adds that the purpose of the conference is to “harness the reputation and familiarity of the influencers with their audience in the US to fight anti-Semitism and present the Israeli message in an authentic way.”
Sasha Roitman-Dratva, CEO of the Movement to Combat Anti-Semitism added, “One of the main goals of this conference is to empower network influencers who support Israel and show that they are not alone – and there are many more like them. In the movement to fight anti-Semitism, we are always looking for innovative ways to arouse the curiosity of the young audience and harness them to the right side.”
