The IDF spokesman said this morning that IAF fighter jets, directed by the Intelligence , had recently attacked several military headquarters of the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the Dahiya area of Beirut.
It was also reported that the attacks destroyed years of effort in which the terrorist organization had barricaded itself in Dahiya. “The attacks are another part of the IDF’s operation to damage the capabilities of the Hezbollah terrorist organization to carry out various terrorist plots against the State of Israel, and as part of the effort to destroy the production sites and weapons warehouses that Hezbollah has established over the years in the Dahiya.”

In addition, the IDF Spokesperson addressed the issue of protecting the civilian population. “All the targets targeted by Hezbollah were deliberately located in the heart of the civilian population, and this is another example of Hezbollah’s cynical use of Lebanese civilians as human shields. Prior to the attack, many steps were taken to reduce the chance of civilian casualties, including prior intelligence gathering, accurate observation and advance warnings to evacuate the area’s population.”
Earlier this morning, the IDF Spokesperson said that “in south Lebanon, 91 Division forces detected many weapons and destroyed a number of loaded and ready-to-launch launchers aimed directly at the Galilee communities.” The Israeli Air Force has attacked dozens of Hezbollah terrorist targets deep and south Lebanon, including headquarters, weapons depots and many Hezbollah launchers, some of which were launched yesterday (Sunday) into the Haifa Gulf and the Sharon region.
Yesterday, the IDF Spokesperson said that Israel had raided 150 terrorist targets since the beginning of the week and had eliminated a large number of terrorists, from the air and the clashes.
“The fighters of the 188th Brigade combat team established operational control of the area and within a few days eliminated a large number of terrorists, found and destroyed dozens of weapons depots, hundreds of buildings and terrorist infrastructures,” the statement said.

“The fighters of the Golani Brigade combat team killed many terrorists in dozens of activities in south Lebanon to destroy and neutralize Hezbollah’s capabilities and terrorist infrastructures in the villages and the complicated territories. In the subsoil, IDF soldiers located, raided, and destroyed Hezbollah’s main targets and compounds, full of weapons and combat equipment. In the fire aid operation, the 282nd Brigade crossed the border into Lebanon for the first time in 24 years and carried out an attack from Lebanese territory, along with dozens of attacks by the fire brigade against Hezbollah targets.”
